Kanien’kéha Resources
Resources for Kanien’kéha language learning and documentation
Welcome! This page hosts resources for the Kanien’kéha language created by members of the McGill Linguistics Department, in collaboration with Kanien’kéha learners and speakers.
This includes projects which resulted from a “Linguistic Field Methods” class in the Fall 2023 semester, led by Jessica Coon and first-language Kanien’kéha speaker Mary Onwá:ri Tekahawáhkwen McDonald, as well as work resulting from collaborations between researchers at McGill and KORLCC, supported by a SSHRC Insight Development Grant.
This page is just one of many available resources for the language, and is intended to contribute in a small way to larger community-led documentation and revitalization efforts. Please contact Jessica Coon with any questions or comments.
